CREVE COEUR ~ Geraldine Emma Starry, 73, of 404 High Street in Creve Coeur, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2006 at the Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in East Peoria.
Born March 14, 1933 in Miami, Oklahoma to William and Essie (Scott) Miller, she married Ernest J. Starry on March 4, 1952 in Reno, Nevada. He died September 28, 1984 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by one brother.
Surviving are two sons, William J. (Shirley) Starry of Lacon and Wade Alan Starry of Creve Coeur and eight grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
Geraldine loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting and reading.
Her graveside funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2006 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tazewell Animal Protective Society, 2675 Allentown Road, Pekin, IL 61554.
