Donald Ray Bennett, 71, of Hickman died Friday at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto.
Mr. Bennett was a native of New Mexico and lived in Stanislaus County most of his life. He was a farmer for 30 years. He served in the Army from 1958 to 1960.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bennett of Hickman; children, Gerald Tigirett of North Carolina, Gary Dale of Hickman, Debbie Bailey of Virginia, Cheryl L. Hansen of Placerville, Sylvia Young of Oakdale, Sondra Predeau of Texas, Linda Johnson of Modesto and Evelyn Jones of Washington; brothers, James Bennett of Hickman, Lonnie Bennett of Hilmar and Howard Bennett of Arizona; sisters, Lynnie Washa of Modesto and Zora Nelson of Turlock; and 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
