Kay was a 1972 graduate of Glenbard East High School and a graduate of Lombard Jr. High School. Kay was a graduate of North Central College.
From 1981 to 1985, she had lived in Spain for 4 years where she studied Spanish. She later worked as a Salesperson for O.A.G. selling in Central and South America.
Kay had worked for Brust Funeral Home in Lombard for 19 years.
Kay was a former member of the Up With People singing group and the “Swinging Set” Glen Ellyn Golf League. She was a former member of the Glass Court Racquetball Leagues.
Kay was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Lombard and a current member of Oak Brook Christian Church.
She had been a former member of “Moms in Touch” and active in parent activities at St. John's Lutheran School in Lombard. She was a former member of the Glenbard East Athletic Boosters.
Kay’s brilliant smile and sparkling eyes were windows to the vivacious and full of life lady she was who always made friends wherever she went. She loved socializing with her many friends whether it was over lunch, playing cards, or phone calls. Kay was an avid traveler as well.
