PONTIAC -- Donald E. Anderson, 83, of Pontiac, formerly of LeRoy, died at 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday (July 26, 2006) at Livingston Manor, Pontiac.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 101 W. Center St., LeRoy. The Rev. Chuck Anthony will officiate. Burial will be in Hinthorn Cemetery, rural Hudson. There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the funeral service.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Livingston Manor, Pontiac.n;

Mr. Anderson was born on Sept. 2, 1922, in rural McLean County. He was the son of Charles and Grace Cougill Anderson. He married Lucille Nichols on Dec. 28, 1950, in Pontiac. She preceded him in death on Feb. 19, 1974.

He is survived by: one son, Scott Anderson of Flanagan; one daughter, Betty (Jim) Bartley of Pontiac; and two grandchildren, Kevin (Kim) Bartley of Albuquerque, N.M., and Dale (Linda) Lindsay of O'Fallon, Mo., (He assumed guardianship of Dale when Dale was 2 years old and raised him as his son.); two great-grandchildren, Adrien and Jordan of Albuquerque, N.M.; one sister, Dorothy Haase of Tuscon, Ariz.; and one sister-in-law, Bea Anderson of Kingman, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Anderson; one daughter, Donna Lindsay;n;one brother; and one sister.

He was a retired farmer in the LeRoy-Lexington area.
