Michael was the son of Barbara Nuneville and George Henry Jacobs. He was brother to Wanda Jacobs and Jonathan Foster. He grew up in Elwood, Atlantic County, New Jersey. He died as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Rt.30 in Galloway as a result of sliding on black ice. He was the dairy manager for Acme Supermarket in Vineland, NJ. He previously worked for Superfresh Supermarket in Hammonton, NJ. He was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union where he was a shop steward. He coached little league baseball prior to becoming vice president of the Mullica Township Recreation Association. He was Vice President and a founding member of the Mullica Township Republican's Club. He was a former Vice President and founding member of the Mullica Township Lions Club. In 2004 he was elected to Township Committee for Mullica Township where he was currently serving prior to his death. He was also serving as director of Public Works. He was appointed to the NJ State of Municipalities Committee in 2007. Michael was an active member of the Elwood Methodist Church.
