Jerry Leon Barnett, 39, of Crossett died Sunday, July 16, 2006, in a tragic drowning accident. A lifelong resident of Crossett, he was an auto mechanic and a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Jason Leon Barnett and Jeremy Dewayne Barnett; his mother, Virginia Faye Faulk; his grandmother, Hattie Mae Barnett; two brothers, Terry Don Barnett and Burley Eugene Barnett; one sister, Rita Joy Kelley, all of Crossett, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lexie R. Barnett, and his grandfather, Burley Max Barnett.
Grave-side services were at 11 a. m. Thursday, July 20, at the Simms Cemetery with Rev. Roy Grantham officiating. Arrangements were by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
