Longtime Duncan reisdent Henry J Carter, 76, 428 Lester, died Saturday, Aug 7, 1993 at home.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Randy Southerland officiating.Burial will be under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Mr Carter was born March 10,1917 in Wilson to Pearl Cranfill. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII, he served in the 45th Division in Sicily and France. He retired in 1979 after 38 years with the Sunray Oil Co refinery. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. On Dec 21, 1946 he married Mildred Maxine Shrader in Ardmore, OK.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Dixie Jackson of Visalia, Calif; and two grandchildren, Joni Jackson of Annecy, France, and Jennifer Jackson of Arlington, Tex.
