Born Friday, October 13, 1967 in Tacoma, WA, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015. He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Patricia N. (Perrack); beloved daughters, Belinda (James) Olsen of Horseheads, NY and Delores Thomas of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Christina Olsen, Matthew Olsen and Ashley Thomas; great-grandchildren, Kayla Olsen and Lillie Thomas; brother, Gary E. (Janice) Walker of Elmira, NY; sisters, Melva-Jean Clark of Elmira, NY, Diane Hill of Millerton, PA, Elaine (Bill) Jenkins of Fort Myers, FL, and Barbara (Chip) Rough of Naples, NY; father, Clarence J. (Betty) Walker of Fort Myers, FL; special friends, Thomas and Nancy Sokolowski; and several nieces and nephews and many close friends. In his earlier years he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing everywhere. Leonard was a life member of many organizations: DAV Chapter 13 of Elmira Heights, American Legion-Clarence Oliver Post #154 of Elmira Heights, VFW Post #901 of Elmira, and Moose Lodge #1476 of Horseheads. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving his country from 1960-1967. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 6:00PM-8:00 PM with funeral service following the calling hours at 8:00 PM.
