Funeral services for E. Virgil Hufstedler, 78 of 422 S. Bishop, a retired assistant secretary and treasurer for Olive Meyer Manufacturing Co., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Edgefield Church of Christ. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.

He died Tuesday [30 Jan 1968] in Gunter, Grayson County [TX].

A native of Tolar, Hood County, Hufstedler had lived in Dallas for 40 years before retiring in 1957 when he moved to Hillsboro. He returned to Dallas in 1964.

Survivors: Three daughters, Mrs. C. R. Rymal, Mrs. A. G. Landgrof and Mrs. M. D. Noell, of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Lee Locke of Kerrville; a stepson, Seth Orr of Hillsboro; a stepdaughter, Mrs. C. M. McAfee of Hillsboro and 10 grandchildren.

Eli was the son of William Henry Hufstedler and Rebecca Beneva Campbell.
He was 1st married to Virginia Ivadell Lawler on 25 AUG 1915 in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX. He was 2nd married to Eunice Aubrey Lewis on 5 DEC 1959.
