Death came to James N. McLain, citizen of Beat Four of this county, at his home Monday night, Sept. 29th, after an illness of about three months. He was 74.
Mr. McLain was a farmer, and was widely connected. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, five sons, two sisters and four brothers, and other relatives farther removed.
Funeral services were held for him at Boyles Chapel Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. W.E. Hutto in charge. Internment followed in the church cemetery. Freeman directing.
The above appeared in the newspaper and did not give the names of his children and wife. His first wife and mother of all his children was Cora West. After grandma Cora died he married Jet Langley. The names of his children were Buford, Ellis, Wesley, Owen, Ezra and Myrtle.
