Married Blanche Evans June 4, 1916 in Marion County, Oregon.
Children: Children: Samuel Paul Jones Jr (1917); Aminta Blanche(Hawley) (1918); Evans William (1921); Stanley William (1928); Daryl Gene (1930); Bertha Jean(Mullins)(1932); and Sally Jo (Standish Bechtold) (1930).
There were 7 grandchildren at the time of his death.
He died after a brief illness at the early age of 60. He lived his entire life in this area where he farmed. He was farming near Brooks at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Gervais Lodge 54, AF & AM.

Samuel P. Jones Dies
Samuel Paul Jones, 60, son of a pioneer Willamette valley family died in Salem Tuesday night after a brief illness.
Born Dec.2, 1888, in Gervais, Jones was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Jones who came to the Willamette valley in August of 1853.
Jones lived his entire life in this area and had farmed near Brooks in recent years. He was married June 14, 1916, to the former Blanche E. Evans, who survives him.
He was a member of Gervais lodge 54, AF & AM, which conducted ritualistic services for him last Friday. Funeral services were held Friday in Salem with concluding services in the Pioneer cemetery at Brooks.
Surviving besides the widow are four sons, S. Paul Jones, jr., Mission Bottom; Daryl G. Jones, Brooks; and Evans W. and Stanley W. Jones, both of Salem; three daughters, Mrs. Blanch Hawley, Bertha Jean Jones and Sally Jo Jones, all of Brooks; five sisters, Mrs. W. P. Collard, Mission Bottom; Mrs. Altha Natfger, Wilder, Idaho; Mrs. Sylvia Brixey, Cutler City and Mrs. Reta Harper and Mrs. Edna Ramp, both of Brooks, and seven grandchildren.
