Funeral services will be conducted in the Memorial Chapel at Greenlawn Mortuary, Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. for Edwin Raymond Beckendorf, 74, 3006 Kentucky St., who died Oct. 11 in a Bakersfield hospital. He was a veteran of World War I. Services will be conducted by the American Legion. Mr. Beckendorf was a native of Pennsylvania and had resided in California and Kern County for 41 years. He had been employed by the post office for 25 years as a carrier. Survivors include his wife, Beryl; four daughters, Grace Gillespie and Katrinka Denison, both of Bakersfield, June Klassen of Ridgecrest, and Marion Goodman of Delano; a son, Allan, of Bakersfield; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
