Catherine V. Smith, 90, formerly of Walkersville, MD., passed away in her sleep during the early morning hours of July 15, 2015. She was the wife of Ralph E. Smith, who recently died in February 2015. At the time of her death, Catherine was survived by two daughters: Donna L. Mason (Evan) and Marilyn M. Ivascu; 5 grandchildren: Lauralee, Kelly and M. Seth Mason, Ralph and Ronnie Ivascu; one sister-in-law Doris Smith, close friend Connie Denney, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Born January 1, 1925 in Pleasant Valley, MD., she was the daughter of the late David Leroy and Laura J. Geiman Myers. Catherine was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her 2 sisters: LaRue Smith and Edith Swartzbaugh; and 3 brothers: Leroy, Harlan and Mylo Myers.
Catherine spent her final years in Fort Myers, FL and will be fondly remembered by Hope Healthcare, Page Rehab staff, residents & families. A funeral service and burial took place on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Hodges Funeral Home and Lee Memorial Park Fort Myers, FL.
