Eva Beatrice Butler Daniel

Eva Beatrice Butler Daniel passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Ocean Trail Convalescent Center in Southport, NC.

She was born on November 27, 1912 to the late Thomas Alex and Sallie Maroney Butler in Madison County, TN. Before moving to Southport, NC, she had lived her entire life north of Jackson, TN.

She was a Charter member of the Northside Methodist Church in Jackson, TN where she worked endlessly to help get the new church started. Bea was also one of the first women employees at the Milan Arsenal during World War II.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, William Jennings Daniel, Sr.; a son, Thomas Butler Daniel; a daughter, Glenda Daniel Roe Stiles; brothers, Louis Butler, Clifton Butler and John Clark; sisters, Mary Butler Collins and Anne Clark Murley.

She is survived by a son, Bobby Daniel (Judy) of Oregon; grandsons, Gary Roe (Debbie) of Rossville, TN, Mike Roe (Renay) of Bartlett, TN and Tommy Daniel, Jr. (Lauren) of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Jean Clark Murley (James) of Lawrenceburg, TN; 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, along with cousins, nephews and nieces.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 18th at 2 o'clock, at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, TN.
