Jerrell Franklin Barner, 74, of Fordyce died Thursday July 16, 2015 at St. John's Place in Fordyce. Born August 3, 1940 at Carthage, he was a son of the late Archer and Bertha Peters Barner. He was a member of Bearden Missionary Baptist Church and a retired equipment operator. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Barner and a sister, Sarah Sallee. He is survived by his wife; four sons; one daughter; three grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Woolley officiating. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
