Cory Paul Swapp
April 14, 1999~July 10, 2015
Herriman, UT-Our sweet, loving son and brother, Cory Paul Swapp, passed away July 10, 2015. He was 16 years old. Though his earthly life was short, he influenced many people with his infectious personality, genuine sense of humor and bigger-than-life-smile. His presence will be greatly missed by many but especially his family. We are heartbroken by his passing and hope someday to understand the hopelessness and silent evils that inflict a child's spirit.

Cory loved life and was eager to learn new things and experience all kinds of new adventures. Cory was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was working to become an Eagle Scout. A candle light vigil took place on Friday evening (July 10) to remember his life and tell stories and form legends about Cory. It was attended by over 200 classmates, friends and team members. He played rugby for the Lowland Lions and was a member of the Riverton High School Hockey Team. He will always be remembered for the wild socks and the "animal" T-Shirts he wore everywhere (except church).

Funeral services for Cory will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Herriman South Stake Center, 14550 South Juniper Crest, Herriman UT, where a viewing will be held on Tuesday evening, July 14, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Cory will be interred in the Larkin Sunset Garden Cemetery at 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, Utah. Please leave online condolences for the family at www.larkinmortuary.com.
