Two Pennsylvania residents died today (July 29, 1963) in separate lightning strikes.
Oliver Decker, 38, of Macungie, PA. was struck by lightning at the Lebanon Valley golf course, near Myerstown. Deck and another golfer were in a golf cart. The bolt knocked both men to the ground. The other golfer was only stunned.
The other victim was 15 year old Rita Weir, who was walking across a field, near Bedford.
