Shawnee resident Shirley A. Abbott, 66, died Saturday, July 8, at her residence.
She was born May 1, 1940, in Tekamah, Neb., to Arthur Lindell Tallman and Dorothy B. (Hanneman) Tallman.
On Dec. 3, 1971, she married Jack C. Abbott.
Shirley was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
In 1966 she moved to Shawnee.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Jack; parents; two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include three sisters, Marquita Reese-Ailey of Shawnee, Sonja Reese and Doyle of Shawnee, Scharleen Cargill and John of Tecumseh; niece, Debra Mitchell and Jack; numerous other great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. today at Liberty Baptist Church with Bill Matthews, Phil Thompson and Larry Goins officciating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
