New York City Patrolman Dioniso P Pasquarella of the 75th Precinct in Brooklyn and who lived at 106-09 Liberty Avenue was killed by James Blasi of 705 Logan Street. He was killed in front of 1090 Blake Avenue, Brooklyn.Patrolman Dionisio Pasquarella was shot by James Blasi, an unemployed chauffer, during a dispute outside of bar and grill at 1090 Blake Avenue, Brooklyn. The gun in Blasi's possession was a police service revolver previously issued to Patrolman Robert C. Berens, from who it was confiscated when he was dismissed after being convicted of abduction and sentenced to two and one half years in Sing Sing prison. When questioned, he produced a document signed by Commissioner Joseph Warren attesting to the destruction of the weapon. Blasi also died.
