CABLE (Stitzel), Joan Marie March 10, 1958 - July 5, 2015

On Sunday, July 5, 2015, as sorrow fell over the earth, heaven was rejoicing. This is the day we lost our beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend when she succumbed to her battle with cancer. Named after her special Aunt Joan, but lovingly known as "Toots", she fought her illness the way she lived her life: with courage, tenacity, purpose and passion. Never will you meet a harder working, honest, creative and caring person.

She left an impression on everyone she met. She was genuine and rare. She inherited her generous spirit from her mother and her "gift of gab" from her dad. She loved gardening, baking, animals and traveling.

Joan attended St. Joseph School in Hamilton and Ross High School, where she met her best friends for life. She graduated from Raymond Walters in Cincinnati with an Animal Science Degree and later became a licensed electrician.

In 1986 she married the love of her life, Paul Cable, only to be tragically widowed five years later.

She proudly worked at Ford Motor Company, Sharonville, for 28 years, retiring in April, 2015.

She maintained a positive attitude until the very end of her life.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Edward Crane and his staff and to the West Chester chemo nurses for the excellent care and compassion they bestowed on Joan.
Also, a special thank you to her Ford Family for all their love and support.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Stitzel, with whom she was very close.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life: her parents, Thomas and Glina Stitzel, a sister, Eileen Stitzel, two brothers, John Stitzel and Brian (Renee) Stitzel, a niece and two nephews, Abby, Josh and Tom Stitzel, a great-niece, Mattie and numerous other extended family and friends.

Her memory will also be cherished by her BFFs: Jenny (Dick) Broermann, Carla (Jeff) Clark, Sally (Danny) Hope, Patti Minges and Debbie (Mike) Rechin.

There will be no service. A Celebration of Life party will be announced soon on Joan's Facebook page.
