Those were the days of homesteading, so in the fall of 1909 Bonnie and her family came to Dallas, SD on the Fremont and Missouri Branch railroad, homesteading 10 miles north of Dallas.
Anders Nicholai Anderson and Bonnie were married on April 26, 1922 at Winner, SD. They resided on a farm northwest of Dallas where their three daughters, Violet, Marjorie and Vernell, were born and raised.
She enjoyed sewing, baking rolls and growing beautiful peonies and glads which she shared with everyone. She died on May 14, 1992, at the age of 93 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Violet Ring and Marjorie Harrison, both of Gregory; one sister, Florence Sorenson, of Concord, CA: one brother, Don Karnes, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded om death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Vernell Jansen; three brothers; one sister; a great granddaughter, and two sons-in-law.
