Francis Joseph Haas, Jr., on November 3, 2012, a lifetime resident of Gloucester. Age 71.

Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Murphy) to whom he was married for 28 years. Loving son of the late Frank, Sr. and Marie (nee Waters). Dear brother of John Haas and Phil Haas. Devoted stepfather of Joseph & Priscilla Cormney, Nancy Cormney and the late Bill Cormney. Grandfather of Kenneth & Mason Cormney and Marissa & Macey Cropski. Loving uncle of Jessica, Jason, Carl, Zach and Wyatt.

Frank was well known and loved by all who ever met him. Frank grew up with strong family values and aided in helping raise his brothers, whom he cherished proudly. He graduated from Gloucester Catholic in 1960.

Frank was an outstanding basketball coach in the Gloucester area for many years. He led St. Mary’s Grammar School to many CYO championships and invitational tournament wins. He was instrumental in founding and leading the Carmen Palmiero Basketball League. He also coached at Gloucester Catholic and Gloucester High School during their most successful years.

Frank followed Brooklawn American Legion for decades. Frank worshiped Notre Dame and loved wearing their gear from head to toe. Rudy was his hero and he never missed a Saturday game. Frank had a passion for following his grand daughters and nephews sports.

Frank was a former councilman in Gloucester City in the early 1970's.

Frank retired from Camden County Health Services after 30 years of service. Frank loved traveling, playing the horses, the lottery and enjoyed life to the fullest, especially at his Gloucester City “establishments”.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 9am to noon Saturday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service 12noon at the funeral home. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Hurffville.
