Mrs. Allene Thomason, 81, of Montrose died Monday, April 24, 2006 at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. A native of Ashley County and a lifelong resident of Montrose, she was a homemaker and worked at the Lake Village Nursing Home for many years. She co-owned the Highway Café in Portland and owned the Midget Café in Montrose and was a member of the Montrose Baptist Church.


She is survived by three sons, Rudy Wrzesinski of Lake Village, Rodney L. "Hoss" Thomason of Pine Bluff and Robert L. Thomason of Monticello; 10 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Drexel Thomason in 1965 and Rudolph M. Wrzesinski in 1945; her parents, Robert S. & Etta Lee Horn Woods; two brothers, Travis & Robert Woods Jr. and three sisters, Beatrice Woods, Odell Stephenson and Ozell Snell.

Grave-side funeral services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 27, at the Old Union Cemetery with Brother Jerry Selby officiating. Pallbearers were Phillip, Eric and Ted Selby, Eddie Tucker, Charles Griffin, Jim & Bill Garner.
