Betty Ann Rowe, 54, of Hamburg died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. A native of Bastrop, Louisiana, and a resident of Hamburg for the past 45 years, she worked at the Hamburg Shirt Factory and for WAM Enterprises and was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Lamar Rowe; a son, Walter Rowe; a daughter, Velissa Rowe; her parents, Dewitt & Elsie Gwin Bates, all of Hamburg; two sisters, Ruth Jeffers of Hamburg and Kay Bates of Montrose and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. E.W. Ricks, Rev. Larry Donaldson and Brother Sammy Land officiating. Burial will be in the Trafalgar Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Trafalgar Cemetery Association, c/o Mr. Ben Lawrence, 859 Ashley 105 Road, Montrose, AR 71658. Funeral arrangements are by Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
