George Thomas Uselton, 71, of Crossett died Saturday, June 17, 2006. Born on November 20, 1934, to the late George Jackson and Augusta Mae Bratcher Uselton, he served in the Air National Guard and retired from Georgia Pacific as a winder operator after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.


Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Chestine Uselton; one son, Justin Uselton and wife Brooke; two daughters, Jacquita Stafford and Jawana Uselton, all of Crossett; one brother, Joe Jackson Uselton of Minote, ND; three sisters, Betty Jane Cardell of Houston, TX, Alice O'Neal of Hurst, TX, Nita Ropers of Euless, TX; one granddaughter, Janessa Stafford and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Monday, June 19, in the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with Revs. Warren Finney, Justin Uselton and Marty Jones officiating. Burial followed at the Goshen Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.

Pallbearers were Richard Jones, Curtis Finney, Charles Cardell, Jim Parchem, Wesley Jones, Sam Finney and Jimmy Self. Honorary pallbearers were Tracy Ables, Jim Bob Godwin, Mitch Bays and Robert Womack.
