Maxine Lydia Reeves Livengood, age 81, formerly of Asheboro, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2015 in Bonita Springs, FL.

Mrs. Livengood was born in Greensboro, NC on March 18, 1934 to Edison and Eula Myrick Reeves. She was retired from Cone Mills after 17 years of service. In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Rev. Norman Livengood and daughter Linda Kaye Livengood. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Maxine dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She and Norman loved their church families as well. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Anita L. Hawkins of Staley, NC, Lynette L. Grout of Bonita Springs, FL; son, Norman Lee Livengood, Jr. of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Elisa Livengood, Heather Livengood, Steven Livengood, Joshua Wilcoxson, Natalie Hawkins, and Wilson Hawkins.

The family would like to gratefully thank mom and dad's caregivers: Donna, Tracey, and Barbara, and Hope Hospice of Bonita Springs, FL.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 10:00-11:45 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro.
