Sybil was the daughter of Loren Hobson Sprinkle and Clara Cora Carter. Sybil was the eldest of five children.
Sybil had a difficult childhood, her mother passed away from lock jaw, when she was twelve years old. After her mothers passing Sybil had to "grow up" before her time to help raised her younger siblings.
When she was seventeen years old she married William David (W.D.) Lamm Jr on April 18, 1939 in Greenville,Texas.
They were the parents of ten children who grew up to adult hood. Sadly three passing before her death including her husband W.D. and her father.

Sybil did the best she could with the difficult circumstances that she lived with, She was a good mother to her children and protected them like a lioness, a grandmother who loved to have her grandchildren visit, a sister that her younger siblings relied on and a wonderful wife for sixty-one years.

Obituary

Sybil Lamm, 84, of Greenille died the morning of June 20, 200, at Park Haven Nursing Center.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Cker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Hickey officiating. Burial is at Money Cemetery.
The daughter of H.L. and Clara Carter Sprinkle, she was born Oct. 15, 1921,in Hunt County. On April 18, 1939, she married to William D. Lamm Jr. in Greenville.
Mrs. Lamm was a homemaker. She was a methodist.
Surviving are sons James Lamm of Sherman, Mark Lamm of Celeste and David Lamm and Jerry Lamm of Greenville; daughters Diane Dixon of Yantis, Carol Craver of Greenvile, and Kathy Dial of Annona; two brothers, Dale Sprinkle of Lizella, GA, and Doyle Sprinkle of Rockport; two sisters, Jean Gillentine of Randolph and Wilnetha Green of Tyler; a stepsister, Louise Reagan of Caddo Mills; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her husband in 2000, two sons, Mike Lamm and Dennis Lamm; a daughter Amy Sue Lamm; and sister Nell Briley.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends will gather at the home of Carol Craver.
