Services for Ellen E. Orlich, 91, of 327 40th Ave., East Moline, are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Estate, Moline.
Mrs. Orlich died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. She was born April 7, 1908, in Moline, the daughter of Claus and Julia Johansson Nelson. She married Raddy Orlich Jan. 6, 1936, in Rock Island. He died in 1995.
She was a telephone operator for Illinois Bell Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and Clara Lodge of the Viking Club in Moline.
Survivors include daughters, Peggy Pavetich, Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Margery and her husband Ronald Entrikin, Roscoe, Ill., stepdaughter, Delores Elston, Pinellas Park, Fla, stepson, Harold and his wife, Linda Orlich, Mooresville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond and his wife, Ann Nelson, Boulder, Colo.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded by four sisters and two brothers.
