Flora was one in a litter of four kitties we "acquired" when they were one month old after a creep (I'm being nice) living near our home shot and ultimately killed their mother. The mother cat was not ours, but we took in the entire litter willingly and gave them all good Scottish names of Flora McDonald, Mary McGregor, Rob Roy, and William Wallace, aka, "Walley" and dubbed them the McCats.
Flora was the head cat here until Eddie Haskell arrived, but she was the leader of "Kitty World", our screen porch on the back of our house. I always thought Flora would have been the last in the pack to go, but she fooled me, dying of kidney failure at 12:15 p.m. behind the sofa of Kitty World.
She was the one of the four that would be classified as a lap cat...and I will miss that....
Flora is survived by her sister, Mary; brothers Rob and Walley; step-brothers, Eddie Haskell, Alexander Selkirk "Little" (dog), Sir Edmund Hillary "Big" (dog), and step-sister, Scooter and her adoptive parents, Bob & Fran, who love all creatures great and small
