Martha Jane Sikes, age 70, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born September 28, 1944 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Oscar and Dorothy Louise Selby Tetrault.

Martha was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in graphic communications from Okaloosa Walton Community College in Niceville, FL. Martha owned and operated The Awakening Health Center in Berkeley Springs from 2005 to 2011. She enjoyed crocheting. Martha is survived by her husband of 33 years, James Albert Sikes, at home, one daughter, Sharron Lee Cayere of Centreville, VA, and one son, Brian Edward Beauregard of Berkeley Springs, two sisters, Mary Louise Greenan of Greenfield, IN and Elena Marie Pritch of Indianapolis, IN, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son Robert Beauregard.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Liberty & South Washington Streets, Berkeley Springs, WV with the Rev. Fr. Leonard A. Smith as celebrant. Burial will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV.
