35th Alabama Infantry. Enlisted as a private, promoted to 2nd Lt. Fought at Seven Pines, injured at Gaine's farm, rejoined the regiment and fought at Salem Church, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, and Wilderness. Injured a second time at Gaine's farm. Present at the surrender at Appomattox. Later served as a pastor and as a judge.
