Warren J. Engelbrecht, 86, of Rapid City passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Warren was born February 4, 1929 in Blackwell, OK to Henry and Rose (Hawk) Engelbrecht. He married Maryann Britton on March 26, 1951 in Tyndall, SD. Warren joined the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1953. Warren and Maryann relocated to Rapid City in 1953. He worked at Sooper Dooper for 20 years retiring as the Manager. Warren was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife; his son; his brother and his sister.

He was preceded in death by his son, Barry and his parents.

A Rosary will be at 9:45am on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 with a Memorial Service at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral in Rapid City with Father Ed Vanorny as Celebrant. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
