Mr. Robert (Bob) Johnson, 85, of Hamburg, died Sunday, June 4, 2006 at the St. Francis North Hospital in Monroe, LA. Mr. Johnson was a native of McGehee and a resident of Hamburg for the past 30 years. He retired from the Pentzien Pipeline Company in 1982 and he was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester & Vergie Kelley Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Muriel Kay Johnson of Hamburg; a step-daughter, Sue Hayden of Monroe, LA; five sisters, Becky Grice of Meridian, MS, Jo Ann Wiley of Cleburne, TX, Judy Rice of Shreveport, LA, Jackie Pardue of Downsville, LA and Johnnie Mae Hale of West Monroe, LA; two grandchildren, Paul Hayden of Monroe, LA and Jon Hayden of Cabot, AR and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in the Promise Land Cemetery with Rev. Charles Pullin officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
