Theatrical producer and talent agent. His most successful show was "Broadway" in 1929, the first Broadway show to use gangsters as its theme.

Later, Streger joined the Leland Hayward Agency, and managed the careers of many stars, including Henry Fonda, Myrna Loy, Margaret Sullivan, Claire Booth Luce, and Katharine Hepburn.

He was survived by his wife, the former Sylvia Thalberg Weingarten, who he married in 1959.
