Mary, affectionately known as “Mama” by her children and “Granny K” by her grandchildren was born Dec. 26, 1937 in Parkersburg, W. Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hazel Pilcher and Emmett Edmond Baker Sr., a daughter Charlotte Psyche Kelly, her husband and father of her children, Ronald Rudolph Kelly, and husbands, G.H. Kinney and John Malcolm “Mac” Cox, and grandson: Timothy James “Jamie” Taylor.
Mary spent most of her adult life in the Augusta area. She graduated in her later years from Augusta Area Technical School as an LPN in 1994 and worked at the Burke County Hospital from 1993-2001.
An active member of Marvin United Methodist Church, she volunteered in the church clothes closet and the summer school lunch program, co-sponsored by the church. She was also a volunteer for Columbia County Cares.
