John Frederick Abrahamson
Services for John Frederick Abrahamson, 66, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Swan Drawing Room with retired Chaplain George Fort officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Abrahamson, a builder and developed who had been a local resident since 1946, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 19, 1910, in Loomis, Neb., and was employed as a builder in Grand Island, Neb., before moving to Colorado. A graduate of the University of Nebraska, he resided at 124 Charmberlin Ave. Mr. Abrahamson was a member of the Stratmoor Hills United Methodist Church. He belonged to Al Kaly Temple., the Masonic Lodge, Broadmoor Golf Club, American Society of Dowsers, Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, Stratmoor Hills Golf Club, Cowboy Hall of Fame and was a life member of the Alumni Association of the University of Nebraska. He was married Nov. 23, 1930, in Nebraska and his widow, Mrs. Gladys L. Abrahamson survives. He is also survived by a son, John F. Abrahamson of Grand Junction; two brothers, Edward O. Abrahamson of Colorado Springs and Paul Abrahamson of Naples, Fla.; three grandchildren; two aunts and an uncle. He was preceded in death by his daughter, June Alice Abrahamson. Friends may contribute to the J. Fred Abrahamson Memorial Fund at Stratmoor Hills United Methodist Church.
