Charles Robert Agnew was born to Quitman Agnew Sr. And Bertha Betts Agnew on March 7, 1943. He was a member of City Road C.M.E.Church. He attended Scale Street and Easom High Schools in the Corinth City School District. He then joined the United States Army, where he continued and finished his education.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Quitman Agnew, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Charles L. Long and Charles S. Jones; his parents, Quitman Agnew Sr. and Bertha Agnew; two brothers, Morris Betts and Jerry Agnew; four sisters, Elois Agnew Simmons, Ida E. Agnew, Paulette Agnew Justice, and Jane Agnew Alexander; seven grandchildren; two special nephews, Everett Agnew and Anthony Wells; a special Aunt Delois Lueallen; and many other relatives and friends.
