∼Mr. Russell L. Cain Jr. of Lakeland died of heart failure Friday (May 28, 2004) at home. He was 75.
Born in Lakeland on May 17, 1929, he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired Air Force veteran, having served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 4 in Lakeland.
Mr. Cain is survived by his daughter, Valerie Kurlowich, Tampa; son, Russell L. Cain III, Greer, S.C.; sisters, Delores Singletary, Clearwater, Billie Jane Cohen, Lakeland, Cheryle Sheffield, Winter Haven; three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Heath Funeral Chapel. Burial with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
