Mrs. Adams was born in Hines, Florida and had resided in Bagdad, Florida for the past 50 years.
She was Valedictorian of The Bronson High School Class of 1945. She was the Past President of the Florida Legal Secretaries Association for 1964. She served as a Sunday School Teacher at Bagdad First Baptist Church for over 20 years, and served there also as the Church Secretary for almost 15 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rubin Jerrels, Sr. and Nellie Hardee Jerrels of Bronson, Florida.
Mrs. Adams enjoyed her family and most especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, George L. Adams of Bagdad; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Darrell Wilkinson of Magnolia, Alabama; three sons and daughters-in-law, Al and Peggy Qualls of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Ronnie and Sharon Adams of Bagdad, Bill Adams of Milton; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Rubin Jerrels, Jr. of Bronson, Florida; one sister, Doris Mikell of Williston, Florida.
Funeral services for Mrs. Adams will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 1, 1999 at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Milton with Dr. Joe Bamberg and Dr. David Spencer, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
LEWIS FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, March 31. 1999.
