He was born in Point Marion, PA on July 18, 1919 to the late George W. and Lilian Geary. He grew up in Fayette County area near Connellsville, PA.
Mr. Geary served honorably in the US Navy. He worked at Ft. Meade as the Maintenance Foreman for heavy equipment for 40 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Chesapeake and the Knights of Columbus Council 10881. Mr. Geary enjoyed delivering bread to provide food for the homeless, reading the newspaper, fishing, cooking, and fixing things. He was also President of the Lake Shore Athletics Association in the late 1970’s..
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Clarabelle S. Geary, his daughter Mary Jane Dusold, and three brothers..
Mr. Geary is survived by his daughter Carol Pfiefer of Pasadena, his brother Bob Geary of Charleroi, PA, his sisters Loretta Yankoski of Fayette City, PA, Eleanor Burke of Groveport, OH, and Janice Francis of Pittsburgh, PA, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren..
