Mr. Miller was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Ottawa Township High School and attended LaSalle Peru Oglesby Junior College. He was a member of the Occidental Lodge 40 AF & AM in Ottawa and the Glassworkers Local 19. He was a former and honorary member of the Naplate Fire Department and a former village trustee. He was one of the original members of Variety Riders. He retired from Libbey-Owens-Ford.
He is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Michael) White, Donna (Steve) Miller, and Brends (Harry) Donnelly, all of Ottawa; by five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
