Esther M. Bowe

Esther M. Bowe (nee Beernink), was born to eternal life Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the Masonic Health Care Center, Dousman. She was 94.
She was born Oct. 22, 1910, in Milwaukee, to Samuel R. and Anna C. (nee Tousaint) Beernink.
On March 19, 1935, she married Walter C. Hausser in Milwaukee. She married again later in life, exchanging vows with Fred Bowe in Dousman on Dec. 18. 1971.
Esther was a receptionist for 18 years at Kettle Moraine High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ottawa since 1957 and served as an elder. She also belonged to United Presbyterian Women, the Homemaker's Club, the Blue Valley Garden Club and her church choir. She was also a 4-H leader.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Mary) Hausser, of Eagle; Richard (Rosie) Hausser, of Dousman; Norman (Jane) Hausser, of Dousman; Martin (Luain) Hausser, of Anchorage, Alaska; Jean (David) Hedtke, of Bonduel; and William (Linda) Hausser, of Waukesha. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Roy Beernink, of Greenfield.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, her two husbands, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at First Presbyterian Church of Ottawa, 35415 Highway D. Funeral services will follow at the church, with the Rev. Lawrence Gaylord officiating. Interment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Memorials to the church or Children's Hospital of Wisconsin would be appreciated.
