John served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and had been employed as a plastics engineer at the former AMP Inc. and later retired from Tyco Electronics.
John is survived by his wife, Anna B. (Warner) Buck; daughters, Genevra, and husband Matthew Evans of Palermo, ME and Katharine, and husband Stephen Shellenberger of Conewago Twp.; two granddaughters, Myra Evans and Mary Shellenberger; Brothers, James & Charles Buck of Conewago Twp.; sisters, Julia Yost of Hershey and Elsie Buck of Conewago Twp., as well as numerous nieces and nephews,.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Conewago Church of the Brethren, 7035 Schoolhouse Rd., Hershey. Viewing will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the church and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in Shenk's Church Cemetery, Conewago Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2040 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg PA 17110.
