He was baptized on the 20th July 1800 at St. John the Baptist's Church, Heather, Leicestershire.
Rev. Belcher received his B.A. and M.A. degrees at Oxford University and was ordained in 1823.
Rev. Belcher married Ellen Cresswell on the 20th May 1845 in Wirksworth, Derbyshire.
I'm not sure whether they had any children.
1851-71 Census forms states that the Reverend and Ellen, lived at the Rectory House, in Heather, and that Rev. Belcher was also a farmer employing several labourers.
Rev. Belcher was widowed when Ellen died on the 12th February 1877.
