Memorial mass for Richard Louis Anderson, 78 of Burkburnett will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church, Burkburnett, Oklahoma.

Mr. Anderson passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas. A private burial will be held at Devol Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Gray Funeral Home, Grandfield, Oklahoma.

A memorial service will be held in Magnolia, TX on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Please check with Constable David Hill's office for time and place.

Richard Louis Anderson was born in Lowell, MA, the son of William and Rose Berube Anderson. He was a Catholic by faith and became a born-again Texan in 1956. Richard married Francyne McClendon on April 27, 1956 at the Catholic Chapel on Sheppard AFB, in Wichita Falls, TX. They welcomed three beloved children and six precious grandchildren: Karen of Cleburne, TX and her daughter, Kaitlyn; Richard (Julie) of Tomball, TX and their daughters, Emily and Michelle; and David (Lilly) of Montgomery, TX and their children, Justin Frank (and his son, Ivan), Tyler, and Sharon. His wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson survive him. Other survivors include his beloved sister, Maureen (Dick) Dube, his much loved sister by marriage, Gillis Carroll (Bob) and her family, along with nieces and nephews Debra Burke, Robin Anderson, Harry Raymond, Michael Raymond, Johnny Fortin, Holly Carrol Lobaugh, Josh Carroll and their children.

Richard owned A-5 Feed in Magnolia, TX. He was honored to have served as president of the Magnolia ISD Board, the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce, and the citizens of Magnolia as a Council member. His greatest pleasure was to assist the Magnolia FFA & Ag Support Group. He was proud to have been honored with the Community Builders Award from the Masonic Lodge in Magnolia--their only and seldom given award to a non-member.

He gratefully served his country for 10 years in the Air Force.

His love and his life were devoted to his wife and family. He valued his friends and counted his many customers at A-5 Feed among them, along with employees, Connie Swetlick and Rev. Emery Berry. Special to him were long-time friends, Billy Reeves, Constable David Hill, J.P. Matt Masden, Tom Conklin, Sheriff Tommy Gage, County Commissioner Charlie Riley, Bob Foster, and J. W. Adams.
