Richard Edward East, Jr., currently of Rosenberg, Texas passed away on April 14, 2015 in Sugar Land, Texas at the age of 68. He was born on November 17, 1946 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to Col. Richard E. East Sr. and Margie Ruth (Stallings) East. He enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies included watching old Black and White movies, telling jokes, going mudding, animals, science and of course, eating. This loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend will be truly missed.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul Edmund East; his sister, Frances Virginia East and his son, Trey Edward East.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy East; stepsons, Robert Lee Kelley, and Charles Raymond Kelley and wife, Miranda; grandchildren, Blessing, Hope, Charity and Trinity Kelley; sisters, Nancy Carol East Butterfield, Pamela Ruth East and Leslie Ellen East Brown; 5 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas with burial following at West Gethsemane Gardens.
