Thomas “Slick” Eugene Smith was born on 05/19/1951 in Lewiston, Idaho to Charles B. and Verla Benson Smith. He grew up in Clarkston Washington and graduated from Clarkston High School in 1969. He then moved to Cheney, Washington to attend Eastern Washington University. He lived in Cheney for his remaining 44 years.

He was employed as custodian at EWU until his late 40’s when he was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.

He loved sports, especially the “New York Yankees”. He was involved in baseball rotisserie for many years. He also loved, football, basketball and golf. He was very involved with softball in his younger years with both the Smackers and Cheney Building Supply. He also enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by both parents and two brothers, Stan Smith and Ronald Smith, all of Clarkston Washington.
