Lawrence Theodore Olson was born Nov. 18, 1878, in Osakis township, Douglas county, the son of Lars and Johanna Olson. He grew to manhood in the Nelson community and on June 29, 1907, he was united in marriage to Florence McKay. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Alexandria where Lawrence has made his residence for almost 50 years. Two children were born to this union: one son, Donald, and a daughter, Angeline, who passed away in 1935. Mrs. Olson preceded her husband in death on May 26, 1956. Mr. Olson passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 12 days. He is survived by one son, Donald of Alexandria; two granddaughters; and one sister, (Louise) Mrs. J. E. Fritzberg of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, one brother and one sister.
