LA MARQUE — Margaret Christman, 85 of La Marque, passed away Friday, September 16, 2005 at the Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster. Margaret was born May 10, 1920 in Birmingham, Alabama to Austin and Laura Mae Lawler. Margaret was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in La Marque.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and sister Helen Athanasiou. Margaret is survived by her husband Wilbur Christman of La Marque; daughters Sharon Bass of Friendswood, Linda Battistoni and husband Americo Jr. of Dickinson; grandchildren Amanda Bulman and husband Jeff of League City, Anna Battistoni of Dickinson and Brian Bass of Huntsville and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, September 19, 2005 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in La Marque with Pastor David Smith and Rev. Leon Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East, Webster, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund, First Baptist Church, 821 Laurel, La Marque, Texas 77568.
