OBITUARY: SPRING GROVE Betty A. (Rupprecht) Hilty, 48, of Spring Grove RD 6, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Hanover General Hospital. She was the wife of William D. Hilty. The couple had been married 28 years.The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ American Baptist Church, Spring Grove RD 5. Burial will be in St. Peter's (Lischey's) Cemetery, Spring Grove RD 5. There will be no viewing. Following burial, the family will receive friends at the church. The Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hilty was born in Jackson Township. She was the daughter of Anna C. (Werner) Rupprecht of Spring Grove RD 6, and of the late John H. Rupprecht.
She was a 1962 graduate of Spring Grove Area High School. She was employed three years as a receptionist at York Lutheran Social Services and previously for nine years was employed by Dr. Mark S. Tome, Hanover.
A charter member of Christ American Baptist Church, she had served as a Sunday School teacher, and was on the mission, nurture and fellowship committees.
Mrs. Hilty also is survived by a son, Michael D. Hilty, at home; a daughter, Melissa A. Hilty, at home; and three sisters, Pauline R. Wolf of York, Joyce M. Diehl of Menges Mills, and Darlene C. Baublitz of Spring Grove RD 6.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Ralph G. Eib.
